Clark "The Shark" HAGINS Remembers "Irie Bob" as one of the last song ideas that the G.e Project would ever record in Late 1992. "I remember this was one song where I couldn't get Ted On bass til' maybe like the last minute ,...AND ,.. I had to "Pay" him" ( Laughs ). THIS UNUSUAL G.E. SONG is certainly weird for the band as it was what Hagins calls a G.e "Anomaly" Recording Session. "I had this idea for a track that was kinda a celebration of 1966 Garage Rock and maybe stuff like the Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Standels, Arthur Lee and LOVE, The Chocolate Watchband,  ,.. maybe Eric Burden and the Animals" Says Hagins for ROCK CITY PRODUCTIONS BLOGGING 2008 AT BLIP TV. "Irie Bob" would be a track that Hagins decided to "Upgrade" into a very "commercial" sounding idea; "This song is similar to WHITE BLACK THANG or "Five Years" in that,, this is definitely certainly one of those Greenhouse Effect Songs that I could hear being played on the radio." Says Hagins.      


"You might definitely hear a Pixie's influence here ,..Or Butthole Surfers or virtually ANY late 80's indie rock or some shit like that" says Hagins. Hagins says that "as usual", he first laid down the drums with Engineer / Producer "Wild" Billy Krodel at JET CITY SOUND STUDIOS EL SEGUNDO CALIFORNIA OCTOBER 1992 ,..NOT VERY long after "Addicted", "Misogynistia" and FIVE YEARS were recorded there,... weeks earlier "Once Billy has all my drum tracks stuff recorded,.. it gets real easy from there" barks Hagins ,.... "Because I was such a rock solid good drummer ,.. I could then sit down with the guitars, bass, keys, ..and play with the drums tracks as if they were a drum machine or like pro Tools" says Hagins. "Because Krodel was so good at what he did ,..it made my G.e. music awesome ,... and I had all this recording experience from 251 days ,.. when I would get in there, I knew right what I was doing in the recording studio."
